Camping
The Elliot Lake area is a camper's haven with plenty of opportunities to pitch a tent in the wilderness and enjoy the surroundings. Or, for those who don't like roughing it, you can camp in luxury in a motorhome stationed at one of the designated campgrounds. Prices range from $12.50 to $17.25 per day.

There is a small but convenient trailer park right in town, providing 15 sites, and larger private parks, with over 100 sites a short distance north of the City on Dunlop Lake.

Some of the most attractive campgrounds lie within Mississagi Provincial Park, 25 kilometres further north. The Park has 90 campsites, 62 of which are pull-through trailer sites. All the sites are near fireplaces, picnic tables, toilets, drinking water, garbage disposal and trailer sanitation stations.

Much of the land surrounding Elliot Lake is crown land, which means that it has been reserved as public property to be enjoyed and used by everyone. Camping on crown land is a privilege available to all visitors. If you are not a resident of Ontario you can pick up a camping permit at the local Ministry of Natural Resources office located along the Deer Trail in Blind River.
