Some Deer Trail Points of Interest

1. Intersection of Highways 17 & 108
For most, this is where the Deer Trail discovery tour starts (you can also start at Iron Bridge).

2. Depot Lake
A scenic rest stop, with washrooms, picnic tables, lake trout fishing and boat launch.

3. Elliot Lake Golf and Country Club
A newly completed championship 18-hole golf course. The new golf course, appropriately named "Stone Ridge at Elliot Lake", accents the natural surroundings with holes adjacent to a breathtaking rock cliff and a pristine lake.

4. Fire Tower Lookout
A panoramic view of not just Elliot Lake, but Manitoulin Island, the U.S. mainland and more. Excellent picnic facilities. Follow signs down Milliken Road.

5. Mississagi Provincial Park
Natural environment park features 90 campsites, boat launch, nature trails, canoeing, lake trout and speckled trout fiery, natural and historical exhibit centre and back country camping. 23 kms (14 miles) north of Elliot Lake.

6. Highway 546 North
Access to Mount Lake, famout Mississagi River route of fur traders and the infamous Grey Owl. Accommocations, boat rentals and flying service. 35 kms (121 miles) north of Elliot Lake.

7. White River Road
Scenic corridor through Algoma's St. Lawrence Boreal Forest along the scenic White River. Canoeing, accommodations and roadside picnic area.

8. Bells Falls
Cascading water on the Mississagi River provides an excellent backdrop for pickerel and pike fishing.
