Staff are flexible and open to discussions about business ideas and economic development from both residents and interested business leaders from outside the community. In fact, our office's role is to facilitate the process involved in taking ideas to reality. We’re here to listen, then point you in the right direction or get involved, depending on the nature of the idea. All of this is supported by a forward thinking Mayor and Council, and the community partner organizations who can get behind economic development projects to move our economy forward. We are only a phone call away, or drop by City Hall to get things started.

On a regular basis, Council sits down and reviews its priorities. City Council regularly reviews the accomplishments of the past and updates the City's plan for the future, with a view to ensuring that the City of Elliot Lake is well placed to take advantage of emerging opportunities.
A City's Mission Statement and goals reflect that process and focuses on promoting business opportunities while equally supporting tourism and reinforcing the City's success in the retirement sector.
