Monday- Wednesday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday : 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Friday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Please note that the library doors are shut ten minutes before the Library is closed for the day. A book return is available in front of the Library during mall hours when the Library is closed.
The Library's print collection includes 4600 volumes in English and French; various formats for the visually challenged; and both fiction and non-fiction for all ages. The loan period for print materials is three weeks. The reference section includes encyclopedias, telephone directories, dictionaries, and periodicals.
Special collections include:
Local History: maps, newspaper clippings, photographs, and pamphlets of Elliot Lake and the North Shore area, mining activity records from the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines
Visual and audio media: a large range of DVDs, VHS, and audio books
Six public access sites to the Internet can be used for a minimal charge. A photocopier is available to copy Library information or personal documents for a minimal charge. Gallery space is offered to local artists. Display space for pamphlets, posters, and public awareness presentations is available to non-profit groups.
