Elliot Lake Municipal Airport

The City of Elliot Lake operates the Municipal Airport year-round.  The airport is certified by Transport Canada for airline service and offers the following aircraft facilities:

  • 1,372 m x 30 m (4,500 ft x 100 ft) paved and lighted runway;
  • High pressure fuel pump;
  • Weather reporting service; and
  • Terminal building with washroom facilities and area for flight planning.

Air Bravo Corporation operates an air ambulance service, servicing all of Northeastern Ontario and provides charter services.

The airport also offers services and amenities to visiting airplanes and to the general public including:

  • Display of model airplanes and airplane memorabilia, including posters and pictures.
  • Wide variety of aviation literature from past and present.
  • Space for group gatherings and club functions.
  • Hospitality services for visiting airplanes including cooking facilities and washrooms.
