PARKS & RECREATION PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Mandate:
The mandate of this Committee is to advise on the provision of Parks and Recreation services in the City of Elliot Lake, including assisting in the development and recommendation of Department policy, programs, projects, special events through promoting and maintaining communication with the public, on Parks and Recreation needs. The Committee should endeavor to identify local priorities, develop local solutions and make recommendations to the Council of the City of Elliot Lake that encourages a wide range of services that maximizes the use of City facilities and promotes participation in a fair and consistent manner, at a cost that is fiscally responsible to the participant and taxpayer. The Committee is an advisory board, appointed by the Elliot Lake City Council. Members of the community are appointed on a yearly basis.
