The City of Elliot Lake Miner's Memorial Selection Committee is looking to memorialize those workers who lost their lives in accidents or died of occupational disease from working in the Elliot Lake mines.
The Mining Memorial was installed last fall and was officially opened on April 28th, 2007 at the monument site on the shores of Horne Lake. If one of your family members died in a mine accident or mining related disease and you wish to have their name added to the memorial, please contact the City of Elliot Lake at (705) 461-7240, or download the consent form by clicking one of the links below. Then, fill out the form and drop it / mail it to City Hall (45 Hillside Dr. N., Elliot Lake, ON P5A 1X5) or fax it to (705) 461-7289. |

The stories can be a long as you wish - it is their story. We are also requesting you submit a picture of the individual you are writing about.
