| Municipal Pool and Gym Elliot Lake boasts a first class indoor pool and recreation complex that houses not only the main pool but a whirlpool, two saunas and a fitness centre. The Main pool is 25 metres (82 feet) long with six lanes and is maintained at a comfortable 29 degrees Celsius (85 degrees F). A 1 metre (3 feet diving board is included along with a swinging “Tarzan” rope for the more adventurous. Ideal for babies and toddlers is a wading pool, less than a metre deep (1 to 3 feet) maintained at a slightly warmer 32 degrees C (90 degrees F). All swimming is monitored by trained lifeguards and both the main pool and whirlpool are handicap accessible. |

Every family member can appreciate the soothing effects of the saunas and whirlpool. The huge whirlpool is set at a balmy 38 degrees C (101 Degrees F) and the male and female saunas can get as hot as you want them to be. The fitness centre offers a variety of cardio and universal equipment to get your pulse rate up, all in a climate controlled environment with a 32 inch TV with satellite to entertain you while you work out. |

Swimming Programs Family Swim is fun for the entire family. All children at the family swim must be accompanied by an adult. Where else could you have fun as an entire family for just 7 dollars? Adult Distance For the fitness conscious members swim lengths for the greatest cardio-vascular workout available. Swimming Lessons for all ages are offered through an affiliation with the Canadian Red Cross Society and the Life Saving Society of Canada. Candidates are evaluated on a progressive system and may actually complete more than one level in a session. Special Swim Programs are also offered from time to time, Check for availability. Some examples include lifeguard training, instructors, swim-fast recreational speed swimming, adult/senior lessons, Aqua-fit aerobics, first aid courses and the on board boating course. |

| W.H. Collins Centre The W.H. Collins Centre serves multiple purposes. It houses all kinds of different social and recreational events like regular badminton and basketball programs to a seniors walking program, free of charge, from November to April each year. Let us help you plan your special event. The Collins Hall is a great venue and has more than ample facilities for parties, social clubs, wedding receptions, seminars, trade shows, bingos, concerts, sports groups. The Hall has a capacity of 366 up to 725 people, depending on the type of event and has excellent bar and kitchen facilities. Rental rates are reasonable and our experienced staff will prepare the centre according to your unique specifications, and ensure that al details are attended, both prior and after the event. | Centennial Arena Our local arena is primed and ready to keep residents busy in either season. During the winter months, minor hockey, recreational hockey and public skating keep the ice surface busy. In the summer the floor and arena is available for rent. Over the past few years the arena has seen some capital improvements that make it a great place to play or watch a hockey game. Safety netting protects the public from errant pucks, a new re-surfacer (aka a zamboni) was recently purchased, new dehumidifiers and piping systems keep the ice at the right temperature. | Spruce and Spine Avenue Beaches Our two local beaches, both on the calm, clear waters of Elliot Lake provide an excellent opportunity for recreation in the summer. Whether its to refresh yourself during a warm summer’s afternoon, or to have a picnic with friends and family, our two lifeguard supervised beaches provide a perfect setting. In addition to the long sandy beaches, a playground area, picnic sites, washroom and changeroom facilities are present at both locations. |

| Elliot Lake maintains over 13 community parks and playgrounds, a perfect setting for some light sports, playing with children and grandchildren or leisurely walks.
