Located in the main entrance of the Lester B. Pearson Civic Centre, just off Hwy 108 is the Elliot Lake Welcome Centre. The Welcome Centre is your full service, one window stop for all information on Elliot Lake's tourism attractions, community events and leisure activities. Our trained, bilingual and courteous tourism ambassadors, Heather or Ginette are more than willing to help you plan for extended vacation or a quick weekend getaway. Or, if you're just wondering what to do next weekend or what's going on in Elliot Lake, the Welcome Centre staff has their thumb on the pulse of the community and can provide you with a wealth of information and ideas.

From snowmobile trail conditions to canoe routes, from driving directions to recommendations for where to eat, the Welcome Centre can answer all your questions and get you on your way, safe in the knowledge that Elliot Lake welcomes you and wants you to maximize your stay with us.

Information Resources
The Welcome Centre offers more than just a point in the right direction and a warm smile, our staff are loaded with all kinds of resources for the public such as:

  • MNR topographical maps of the entire region
  • Canoe route information and maps of area lakes
  • Maps of hiking, snowmobile and ATV trails
  • ATV visitor trail passes
  • Pictures, prints and art, many by local artists
  • Souvenirs, pins and memorabilia

For great gift ideas in stylish community pride, the Elliot Lake Welcome Centre also offers Elliot Lake merchandise. Warm winter ski coats, fall jackets, fleece tops, T-shirts, hats and fleece blankets are all available in a dizzying array of colours to suit any taste. And if for some reason you don't see what you like, don't hesitate to ask Heather or Ginette, chances are we can track it down for you either in one of our local retailers or we can order it for you.
